This year, the budget was used to cover the cost of two major annual tournaments: Pimicikamak Softball Championships in July 18-21,2019 and Adwen Halcrow Championships August 16-18,2019.

These two major events boosts local economy, brings unity, camaraderie, promotes health and wellness to young and old.  Softball (“Fastpitch”) has become a national past time and event that is in compliance with Pimicikamak’s national strategic objective of healing the land, healing the people and healing the nation.  These tournaments were designed for indigenous peoples to take part in the softball championships with the intent of promoting self esteem among youth and adults alike.

Both events are successful events that the citizens of the nation look forward to hosting annually.  Elite athletes and teams attend these events from all over Canada and various indigenous territories.
