The Vision

pimicikamak

Know the difference between God granted rights & Genocide.

pimicikamak
Pimicikamak Territory has much more to offer for our peoples survival than an “Indian Band” or “First Nation” reservation. We must not forget where we come from, by doing so we honor our Ancestors, Grandfathers & Grandmothers. They lived through all the genocide and never gave up or forgot who they are. They were forced into an “Indian” System designed to weaken, assimilate & extinguish our people. In 1876 the Band Indian System was imposed on Pimicikamak and all peoples of Turtle Island. During this time they renamed everyone and everything that represented who we were as a people. Residential schools were being constructed even before the the treaties were signed. It was through the Band Indian/First Nation systems(Indian Act) that the colonizers were able to divide the Turtle Island Nation/peoples into Indian reservations and take away our freedom to live off the land & to raise our own children as we did for generations prior to the colonizers arrival on Turtle Island shores.

Know what happened to our people and how they legislated Acts of Genocide to justify.
